In June or July of each year, the Society holds a National Conference, the location of which is rotated among a number of major cities and resort areas.
Among the popular locations visited in recent years are The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs; Philadelphia; Los Angeles; Boston; San Antonio, Texas; and Quebec City.
The Conferences, structured around business sessions extending over a period of four days, are a major component of the Society's educational activities.
Because of the Society's stature, prominent speakers representing the corporate, legal, regulatory and political spheres readily accept invitations to address members at the National Conference or to serve as panelists discussing topics of current interest to Corporate Secretaries.
A variety of social activities and sporting events balances the program and makes the National Conference among the most popular of Society functions.
The National Conference also provides members of the Society with an invaluable opportunity to make new acquaintances among Society members and guests. One of the major benefits of Society membership is the continuing opportunity to meet and exchange with other members information, methods and experiences relating to the duties of Corporate Secretaries and issues facing their companies.
